How to Use Biodegradable Soap?
To use biodegradable soap while out in the wilderness, all you need is a bucket of water, a hose, or a solar shower, and, if you wish, a cloth, loofah, or scrubbing brush. Then, simply dampen your hand or the scrubbing implement and apply some soap to it. Rub vigorously to create a lather.
Once you have enough of a lather, you can start washing your body, hair, or whatever item you need to clean. Just be sure to use biodegradable soap at least 200 feet from a water source since no soap, biodegradable or otherwise, breaks down in the water quickly enough to avoid problems.
There are also biodegradable soaps available for particular purposes. For example, soap with citronella oil can help to repel mosquitos. Some soaps are especially formulated to be extra mild, ideal for use on babies, those with skin conditions, or pets.
